The claim, stated openly
BerliNike is a statue that was given a voice — she plays with the ideas of second-order cybernetics and autopoiesis without herself being a scientific claim. What carries weight here is the exercise, not the proof: a system that reflects on itself while you speak with it.

Why doesn't the figure explain any of this herself?
Because explanation dissolves the effect. A statue that cites its own theory is a lecture. A statue that simply exists and responds is an encounter. That is a methodological choice this page is allowed to make — and Nike is not.
How a reviewer would see it
"Applying cybernetic concepts to an animated statue reads as an artistic-philosophical experiment, not as empirical proof of an autopoietic system. A statue does not meet Maturana & Varela's criteria for autopoiesis — it does not produce its own components."
