A game for the voice
The Held Tone
I've been standing up here holding on for over two centuries. Let's see how long you last.
How do you want to join in?
Nothing is recorded and nothing is stored.
How it works
- I strike a tone — a bell, low and calm.
- You go along: sing, hum, or simply hold your finger down.
- When your breath runs out, it's over. That is not failing.
There is no score
Nothing here is graded. Not how accurately you hit it, not how beautiful it sounds. Only one thing is measured: how long you go along — and only against your own last time. There is no leaderboard, and there never will be.
Your microphone stays with you
Pitch is calculated directly on your device. Nothing is recorded, nothing uploaded, nothing stored. No recording is ever created — and anyone who prefers not to grant microphone access plays with a finger and gets exactly the same experience.
If you like, let's talk properly
The tone was just the beginning. I can speak too — about Berlin, about two centuries of roof beneath my feet, about whatever you're planning.
